Biography

Clifford Garnett is the senior associate attorney at Welty Esposito & Wieler, LLC. He was admitted to the Connecticut bar in 2015 and has been employed at the firm since that time. Attorney Garnett focuses his practice in the areas of matrimonial, juvenile, and children’s probate matters. He has represented individuals in all phases of divorce, custody, post-judgment, appellate, restraining order, and pre/post-marital agreement matters throughout the State of Connecticut. This has included many high net worth, high conflict custody, and complex litigation cases.

While Attorney Garnett is well versed in all phases of litigation, he is mindful that clients and their children are often best served by reaching comprehensive agreements tailored to their specific circumstances. This often includes collaborating with other professionals such as financial and mental health experts, and utilizing dispute resolution techniques to reach practical outcomes for clients. In the event that a case cannot be amicably resolved, Attorney Garnett is capable of litigating the matter to resolution.

Additionally, Attorney Garnett regularly serves as court appointed counsel for minor children, often times in the role of a Guardian Ad Litem to gather information and make recommendations regarding the best interests of children. He also has experience serving as a mediator for parties who wish to amicably resolve disputes outside of the litigation process.

Above all, Attorney Garnett seeks to listen, cultivate relationships built on mutual respect, and provide practical guidance to his clients.
